• 1 cup whole black lentils (sabut urad dal) • 1/4 cup red kidney beans (rajma) • 2 medium onions (finely chopped) • 3 medium tomatoes (pureed) • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste • 3 tbsp butter • 1/4 cup fresh cream • 1 tsp red chili powder • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder • 1 tsp garam masala • Salt to taste • Water as required • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish |
| Instructions |
1. Soak lentils and kidney beans overnight. Pressure cook until soft. 2. Heat butter in a pan, sauté onions until golden brown. 3. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1–2 minutes. 4. Stir in tomato puree, chili powder, turmeric, and salt. Cook until oil separates. 5. Add cooked lentils and beans. Simmer on low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. 6. Mix in cream and garam masala. Cook for another 5 minutes. 7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice. |
